A friend inspired me to have fun with the HUJI Cam app again. HUJI Cam mimics the experience of shooting film, which I love — I used to work for a film lab and if I could, I would shoot film all the time (alas, it can be very expensive). HUJI Cam had its hay day about five years ago, but it’s still as delightful as ever!
Here are some recent snapshots because why not? And also because I don’t have anything profound to say this week.
Leaves and morning light.
Cotton candy clouds.
Monet’s snoot.
Sunshine in a flower.
Trees. Always.
Bedroom bokeh.
Night sky blues.
Side note: I’m looking to get a compact digital camera for everyday, on-the-go photography. Probably a Fuji, because I’m a sucker for a film-like experience. I’m very overwhelmed by all the options. If you have experience in this realm (Fuji or not), I’d love any wisdom you have to offer!
If you’re in a reading mood, here are some pieces I’ve enjoyed on Substack recently:
I’d love to know: What has captured your attention recently (be it trees, pizza, a good read, or anything else)?
Until next time,
Maryn (is here)
Beautiful creative exploration!
All hail HUJI! You know I’m a fan hehe. I love using it to notice and document tiny details -- most recently it’s been the way light is coming into our windows at a new angle as the suns position changes with winter coming!
